It was late and we had a pet. They accomdated us very well . The service was fast an friendly and we weren't even charged extra for the pet. The room was clean and smelled nice .
Well I guess the first thing to say is you get what you pay for, and in this case you're not paying much but you're not getting much either. In the room I was staying in for the two nights I had to be in town, the refrigerator not work, the TV was very dated and fuzzy even though it was a newer flat-screen Style, the shower would not quit running, the toilet seat was so loose I fell off of it the first time I tried to use it, holes in the walls, lampshades that are busted up and barely hanging on, washcloth from previous guests that was already used still hanging on the shower curtain, beds are incredibly uncomfortable (gave me a backache) and the internet is barely usable at 2 megabytes a second. Also I'm not scared of being in rough areas but there's just something about where this place is located that just doesn't feel safe. There are plenty of places in the same area that are about the same price that look from the outside to be a little bit better now I've course I've not been in them so I don't really know but I'm going to check those next time I have to stay in this area. I gave it two stars simply for the fact of the front desk woman was very nice and at least I had some place to sleep and take a shower otherwise I'd really give it just one star.
The room was very clean. The service was excellent. The best thing was they take pets. And see how it was late he gave us a discount and didn't charge us extra for our pet.
The manager is wonderful. My Chihuahua, Chewie, was welcome and we'll treated. Other guests spoiled him with treats. Security is good and staff monitors activity around hotel constantly. Price was reasonable. Pet fee a bit high. $10.00 per day. Other places free or max at $30.00 per stay. Housekeeping excellent, stop by before 11 am to see if you are staying or need anything. Make sure you communicate if you need bed changed and room cleaned. If you say you are fine, they will leave you alone.
What I thought was neat staying at this motel was it was beside a naval base and they played reveille and the Star Spangled Banner every morning at 8 am. I was told they played taps at dusk also.
